About Authstamp

Faking a document now takes seconds.

With a phone and an AI tool, anyone can produce a letter, certificate or membership card that passes a careful look. We built Authstamp so that looking is no longer the test.

What changed.

For years, a familiar letterhead, a signature and a stamp were good enough. AI made all three cheap to copy.

Letterheads on demand

AI tools recreate an organisation’s logo, layout and wording from a single photo.

Signatures and stamps, copied

A scanned signature or rubber stamp can be lifted and placed on anything.

Edits you can’t see

A changed date, name or amount leaves no trace a reader can spot.

Two identical letters. Only one is real.

Nobody can tell them apart by looking, and soon nobody will be able to tell them apart at all. So we stopped asking the paper. Authstamp asks the record the issuer kept.

Trust moves from the paper to the record.

What we believe.

  • Checking should be free

Holders and verifiers never pay for a single check. Fraud only stops when checking is easier than trusting.

  • Issuers own their data

You decide what a verifier sees. Institutions can run Authstamp in-house and share only signatures.

  • Built for how documents move here

Documents travel by WhatsApp, email and print. Authstamp works with all of them, with nothing to install.

  • One check for everything

Documents and memberships, from any issuer, checked in one place.

Where we are.

Authstamp is built in Kenya, for issuers across Africa. We’re starting with the documents people forge most: bank letters, professional letters, certificates and membership.

We’re working with our first issuers now. If your organisation’s name is being copied, or you’d like to partner or invest, we’d like to hear from you.
