How it works
Authstamp keeps a record of every document and membership you issue. Anyone who receives one can check it against that record in seconds, without calling you.
Documents
The issuer
The holder
Anyone who receives it
Membership
Paper cards and certificates stay in wallets long after a member stops paying. With Authstamp, a check always shows today’s status.
Add members one by one or upload a spreadsheet. Each gets a member number.
Choose how long membership lasts and how many grace days follow expiry.
Members receive their membership and can share it anywhere.
Enter the member number to see if the member is active today, not when a card was printed.
Renew a member and the check updates immediately. Lapsed members show as expired.
For verifiers
No guessing from logos or signatures. Every check ends in one of four results, each with the issuer’s name and the date.
Issued by Acme Bank to XYZ Ltd on 12 Oct 2026.
The issuer withdrew this document. Don’t rely on it.
This member’s membership lapsed on 31 Aug 2026.
Authstamp has no document with this code. Treat it as unverified.
For issuers
Confirming a document is real doesn’t mean showing everything in it. Set the rules once for each document.
Nothing but the result, a snippet, the first page, or the full document.
Anyone with the code, an identified verifier, someone who knows the holder’s details, or only with the holder’s approval.
Show it in full, masked, or not at all.
Ask verifiers for their name or email, so the issuer knows who looked.
Why fakes fail
The truth lives with Authstamp, not in the file. Editing the PDF changes nothing the verifier sees.
Each code belongs to one document and one holder. A real code on a different paper won’t match.
Revoke a document or let a membership lapse, and every future check shows it straight away.
